Cooler Master MasterPulse MH320 Gaming Headset Review

Usage & Testing
I have been using the MasterPulse MH320 headset as my main headset for the past week and I do say I have to like it. When it comes to many products, especially headsets in this price category after using them for a few hours I want to throw them off my head and go back to my trusty HyperX Cloud II’s. That was not that case here the headset is very comfortable and I could easily wear it for long gaming sessions. It fit on my head quite nicely and did not irritate the top of my head or ears.

This has a lot to do with the leather ear cushions, actually having leather on the ear cushions was a nice surprise. This is also something you don’t find on headsets in this price range. With the large ear cushions and closed back earcups you are really immersed in your game, music, or whatever you happen to be listening to. And this probably helps for better overall sound, which in my testing was very good.

The retractable microphone worked well. While in game and on Skype calls people told me they could hear me clearly, but could tell I was on a headset microphone rather than my trusty Blue Snowball microphone. The microphone is completely adjustable so you can place it in the best position, sadly though it is not removable. It would have been cool if Cooler Master made this with a single 3.5mm connection and then a Y-cable for desktop PC use. That way it could double as a pretty awesome headset for your mobile device.

At the end of the day I think Cooler Master has brought out a good headset at a price that is not going to break the bank for gamers and first time system builders. So how much is the MasterPulse MH320? It is selling at our favorite online retailer for $39.99, which we feel is great for what you are getting here. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Cooler Master MasterPulse MH320 Gaming Headset a 9 out of 10 score.
