Cooler Master MasterSet MS120 Gaming Keyboard & Mouse Combo Review

The Lights
When you power on both the keyboard and mouse they will light up. The keyboard has much better lighting than the mouse so let’s start there. The keyboard is RGB backlit and offers 9 different modes. These modes can be selected using the FN+F5 key. Cooler Master took extra time with the lighting on this keyboard as some of the lighting modes are very impressive. You have the typical color wave, but then there is a horizontal wave and some other really cool effects too. We will cover all of these in our upcoming video on this keyboard.

The lighting coverage is actually really good, this has a lot to do with the white top plate that sits under the key caps and the transparent plunger that is used in the key switches. In select modes you can adjust the colors by using the F2-F4 keys, which is some slight customization, but of course we think software would be best.

The mouse also offers RGB LED lighting, but you only get four colors, which include teal, red, blue, and purple. The scroll wheel, border around the Cooler Master logo and the back section of the mouse light up.

On thing that was a little bit weird was the back section of the mouse always stays blue, which looks pretty bad when the rest of the mouse in another color.
