ECS has just launched the Z97I-DRONE and H97I-DRONE mini-ITX LGA1150 motherboards. These motherboards were first unveiled at Computex and we later got to go hands on with them at an ECS press event last month. The two motherboards are pretty much identical to each other except for the two different chipsets.
The boards feature a 5-phase CPU VRM and will draw power from a combination of a 24pin ATX power connector and 8pin EPS connector. The CPU socket is wired to a single PCI-Epxress 3.0 x16 slot and two full-length DDR3 memory slots. There is also a mPCIe 2.0 x1 slot that can be used at add WiFi / Bluetooth modules. Storage includes five SATA 6GB/s ports. Other connectivity includes dual-link DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, six USB 3.0 ports (four rear, two by header), four USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit ethernet and 8-channel HD audio.
No word yet on pricing.
