We were quite surprised last year at CES when we saw EVGA release their Nu Audio sound card, and this year they have improved upon and expanded their sound card lineup with the Nu Audio Pro Surround card.
By adding a secondary card, EVGA has now given consumers the ability to outfit the Nu Audio Pro soundcard with the Nu Audio Pro Surround add-on, enabling 7.1 surround sound. In order to connect the two cards, EVGA has incorporated a mini-DisplayPort port on each card, and uses a short cable to link the two.
The Nu Audio Pro itself has been given a bit of a different look, with an orange-red and black exterior, which adds a bit of vibrance to the card. A backplate for the card is also now included, and this is a direct result of customer feedback, which is nice to see.
Additionally, the lighting has been upgraded to include three RGB LED lighting zones that can be configured with multiple visual styles, including a reactive audio mode.
Available now, the Nu Audio Pro Surround has an MSRP of $299.
