FNATIC miniStreak Gaming Keyboard Review

Usage & Final Thoughts
I’ve been using the FNATIC miniStreak for the past three weeks and I have to say from the moment I opened the box I was impressed with this keyboard and I’ve reviewed quite a lot of keyboards over the past few years. FNATIC was initial started as an eSports team so they known all about what makes a good keyboard and it seems they’ve carried that over to the FNATIC Gear products.

The miniStreak is a tenkeyless keyboard, which makes it great for tournament play and LAN parties. The smaller size and removable cable means that the miniStreak is easy to travel with. I also really like the attention to detail on the design of the keyboard with its aluminum top-plate and rounded corners.

Of course with a gaming keyboard you need good mechanical switches and FNATIC has outfitted the miniStreak with Cherry MX (Red, Silent Red, Brown, Blue) switches, which perform great. I did not take long at all for me to “get in the groove” with this keyboard, getting used to it was almost effortless. Of course these switches are backlit with RGB lighting, and you can completely customize the lights. One thing I have to mention about this keyboard is the palm rest, the design and how you can adjust it effortlessly is amazing and make it so no matter how large your hands are you can make full use of the palm rest.

One thing companies have not done a good job with when it comes to gaming peripherals is their software, but FNATIC’s OP software is really good and straight-forward. It allows you to easily remap the entire keyboard, setup macros, change the lighting and more. It is definitely one of the better implementations of gaming software we’ve seen recently.

When I was initially contacted by FNATIC about reviewing their products I was not sure what to expect as we’ve seen gaming teams come out with products that are trash and just slapped with their logo on it, but the miniStreak from FNATIC is one of the best keyboards I’ve seen this year! Sadly you cannot pickup the miniStreak at Amazon or Newegg. It seems you can only buy it directly from the FNATIC website for $99.99. Based on the quality and performance this keyboard is totally worth that price! Overall ThinkComputers gives the FNATIC miniStreak Gaming Keyboard a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
