G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3000 32GB Memory Kit Review

G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3000 32GB Memory Kit Overview
Taking a look at our memory modules they actually look very similar to the original Trident Z modules. You have a black heatspreader matched with a black PCB, which looks great.

As I mentioned this is a 32 GB kit which is made up four 8 GB modules. So you can use them in dual-channel mode in an Intel Z270 or AMD Ryzen system or you can use them in an Intel X99/X299 or AMD ThreadRipper system. The modules have a large Trident Z RGB logo on the right side and a smaller G.Skill logo on the left towards the top.

If we flip the modules over to the other side the heatspreader has the same design, except it is a dark grey color, which is pretty cool because depending on how you look at your system the modules will be two different colors. Also on this side of each module you will find a sticker with all of the information on the kit. As a reminder we have the F4-3000C15Q-32GTZR kit, which is a 32 GB (4x 8GB) kit running at DDR4-3000 speeds with timings of 15-16-16-35 at 1.35V.

At the top of each module is the white light bar, which will properly diffuse the RGB LEDs that are behind it. At the center is the G.Skill logo in black, which you will be able to see clearly, even when the RGB LEDs are turned on.

For those wondering the RGB LED bars do make the modules a little taller than normal, but nothing out of the ordinary. The official height of the modules is 44 mm / 1.73 inch.
