Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA series’ next installment is underway. After 8 long years of waiting, GTA fans might be able to see a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, as GTA 6 (supposedly) is in the process of active development.
The title of the new installment has not been revealed by the company yet. Looking at how Rockstar Games has named its previous entries, it can be assumed that the next installment will most probably be given a title GTA6 or GTA VI. There is still no mention of the launch date.
However, in January this year, some analysts predicted that the next GTA will be released sometime between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024.
It will be interesting to see how the tone of the game changes as compared to previous installments considering the fact that a change in dynamics is expected after the co-founder of Rockstar, Dan Houser, a primary creative force behind the Grand Theft Auto series, decided to leave the company in 2020.
Grand Theft Auto was first launched in 1997 as a unique open-world mission-based game. The third installment of the game, GTA III in 2001, brought a revolutionary change in the gaming industry with the introduction of 3D graphics to the renowned gaming series. The last entry was launched in 2013 but is still in the developing process when it comes to new and updated content. GTA 6 is expected to benefit from next-generation graphics architecture bringing raytracing and super-resolution tech in use.
