GTA Online Game Load Fix Is Coming Soon

Earlier in March, a GTA Online fan named tostercx (names himself as t0st on his blog) discovered a method that significantly reduced the loading time of GTA V’s online mode on PC. Moreover, Rockstar has acknowledged the discovery and showed their gratitude by giving t0st a bug bounty award.

T0st explained the cause of the issue in his blog. He wrote that it was due to the way the game parsed a 10MB JSON file; as a result, the file was repeatedly being accessed, which increased the loading times.

In discussion with PCGamer, Rockstar explained:

“After a thorough investigation, we can confirm that player t0st did, in fact, reveal an aspect of the game code related to load times for the PC version of GTA Online that could be improved.”

The updated code will soon be implemented through an update and Rockstar has also given $10000 to t0st from its bug bounty fund.

All GTA V online players will benefit from this new update.
