HIS Announces the Radeon RX 480 IceQ X² Roaring

HIS has finally announced their flagship Radeon RX 480 graphics card, the RX 480 IceQ X² Roaring 8 GB OC. The card will feature a custom-designed PCB and a custom cooling solution that is a slightly modified variant of its dual-fan IceQ X² cooling solution that they used for the past few generations of their graphics cards.

The cooler features a pair on 90 mm fan, which will stay off when the GPU is idle. Under the fans you have a dense aluminum fin-stack heatsink with four 6 mm-thick copper heatpipes. The card has a metal shroud that has what looks like a roaring lion on it. On the top-edge of the card is a LED-lit HIS logo. The card also features a full-length back-plate, it has the HIS logo on it in a darker black.

The PCB features a 6-phase VRM that draws power from a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connection. The card has factory-overclocked speeds of 1120 MHz core, 1288 MHz boost and an untouched 8 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory.
