A walk through the book mockup process
Download stock image
The first thing you are to do is to download the background stock image and open it using Adobe Photoshop. There are certain vital points you should be mindful of when selecting a background image. Draw out the shape

Modify the perspective

If you want to see the image below better, you may lower the opacity in the layers panel. To do this, click and drag the corners to meet your desired shape and size. Note that electronics often display a thin black border surrounding the edges of the display window, hence, we won’t like to fill the screen.
In a situation where you have a rounded shape such as an object or person entering the frame that needs to get customized, you may use the layer mask to remove the unwanted pixels. All you need to do is to choose the layer and include a layer mask by selecting the layer mask icon located at the base of the Layers panel.
You may then use the paintbrush along with the color that is set to black to paint on any point you desire. In a case where you paint out a thing, you desire to keep, change the color to white and then paint over the same area again to have it appear.
Drop in the image
If you have gotten to this stage, the next thing is to add the product image to the mockup. For this to get done, begin by double-clicking the Smart Object Thumbnail located on the layers panel. If all you do is double click the layer, it will not work. You have to click on the image icon located close to the layer name. When you have done this, a new screen will come up which has the same shape as the Smart Object.
Proceed to open the product image in Photoshop (File> Open). When you have done this, drop the new image on the screen by using the “move” tool. The next thing to do is to get the image resized to fill the screen. You will have to SAVE it at this point and get the window closed. Ensure that you do not shut all the Photoshop windows down because you will still need the first background image.
Note that if you press down the shift button, you will notice that it drops the new image to the middle of the Smart Object.
The unveiling!
The moment you go back to the original background image, you will get surprised. You will come face to face with your image, adjusted and inserted into the original image. When you are at this point, you will be able to exit the mockup as-is. There are some tricks that you may use to ensure it is more realistic. In a situation where the screen appears too bright, lower the opacity on the Smart Object layer to make things darker.
Try your hands with Multiply, Burn, and other available image options as contained in the layers panel. You could also add shadows. There are different ways this can get done on Photoshop, but, the easiest way is to apply the Color Burn effect using a paintbrush. Take care not to change the image too much. If you make any mistakes, do not get scared as you only need to click CTRL + Z! and you will be back to base
