Today is our second day of leaks on an upcoming Intel platform! Today it seems we have the Intel Core i7-7740K Kaby Lake-X processor, which is a 4-core, 8-thread chip. This of course will be running on Intel’s upcoming Kaby Lake-X HEDT architecture, which is rumored to have 16 lanes of PCIe 3.0 from the CPU. The chips will also not have Intel’s integrated graphics, saving die space, and it looks like quad-channel DDR4 support.
From the benchmarks below we can see that the chip is running at 4.2 GHz with a boost up to 4.5 GHz. The chips were run on a Gigabyte X299-Gaming 3 motherboard.
So what do you think of this CPU blitz we seen to be having?
