Intel has just announced the launch of their latest Cascade Lake Xeon W processors, which will offer higher core count, higher frequencies, and a higher number of PCI-Express lanes when compared to the current generation Xeon W 2000 series.
Cascade Lake Xeon W 3000 Series Processors
These new processors from Intel are based on the same design architecture as the Cascade Lake family family, which makes use of the latest 14nm+++ process node. The 2000 series featured the 14nm process node and Skylake architecture with support for the LGA2066 socket, the new Xeon W 3000 series will support the new LGA3467 socket, which is the same one used by the Intel Skylake-SP and Cascade Lake-SP lineup. The Xeon W 3000 series also features the highest PCI-Express lane count with 64 available PCI-Express lanes.

Intel has a total of nine SKUs in the Xeon W 3000 series lineup which includes the flagship Xeon W-3275. This processor has 28-cores, 56-threads, with a base frequency of 2.5 GHz and a boost speed of 4.6 GHz with a TDP of 205W. The chip will have 38.5MB of L3 cache (1.375 MB per core) and will be priced at $4449. Below is the full list of all of the SKUs in the lineup.
