Intel teases it has “something big to share” on September 2nd

We have been hearing a ton about AMD’s releases these days, but it seems like Intel is catching up. The CPU giant today put out a teaser for an upcoming event, scheduled for September 2nd. Read on!

Now, we know that Intel is close to unveiling its next generation of chipsets. The 11th gen Intel CPUs, named Tiger Lake, were shown off at CES earlier this year. Intel 10nm Tiger Lake CPUs might just be unveiled at the event that Intel just teased, set for September 2nd. Intel says in the teaser that it has “something big to share”. Take a look:

Intel event september 2

Intel is making the upgrade from 10nm+ to 10nm architecture with this generation, and they will be lagging behind AMD’s 7nm process and Apple Silicon’s expected 5nm process. However, it will surely be bringing enough performance to the table.

This event is very likely to be about these chips as the Tiger Lake lineup is set to arrive this fall. OEMs like Acer have already talked about delivering laptops with the 11th gen Intel chips by then.

However, there is an off chance that this announcement could be about something else. Maybe Intel has decided to take a go at ARM? We will have to wait and watch. What do you think? Hit us up in the comments, below!
