Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset Review

Usage & Conclusion
Over the past few weeks I have been testing out the Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset. One of the first things you will notice with the headset is that the overall build quality is amazing with the aluminum design and also being able to switch out the ear pads with a different style. Swapping out the ear pads is easy as long as you take your time. In order to take off the ear pads you have to put one finger in the ear pad and slowly pull the pad away from the center. This will allow you to pull off one side at a time. Now that we have the one ear pad off you can slide out the other side and now swap out the pad. Now that you took off the pad you will have an understanding on how to install the other set, as it is the same style just a different material. It is great that Kingston has included two different ear pads.

One of the other neat features with the Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro headset is all the extras they give you with it. You will have an airline adapter for your long flights, cell phone adapter, can use it with your PS4 and of course your PC. I have tested it out with the mobile phone adapter, using it while at work and also on a road trip during Memorial Day weekend. The sound that comes from the Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Headset is great. It hits all the right areas, great mids, highs and lows. Which they were able to achieve with their 53mm drivers. Now all we have to do is install the Microphone and audio control box and do some gaming. Installing the microphone is pretty easy, just remove the microphone port cover and plug it in.

I will be testing the Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Headset with Battlefield 4, Wildstar Open Beta and CS:GO. The first game I tested the headset with was Battlefield 4. I played a few rounds on Operation Metro and Operation Locker as they are mostly close battles with almost none stop action and grenade spam. With that much action going on there wasn’t any distortion at all thanks to the 53mm drivers. Yet again the highs, mids and lows were great and not pushed together. In CS:GO I had some fun as I was able to hear people coming up and the microphone was great as people could hear me perfectly with no feedback or muffling. While playing the Wildstar Open beta the last week before their head start launch on May 31st I was enjoying using the Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Headset as there are many different sounds coming from different areas of the game. From the music to fighting to cut scenes it was great and clear. While in TeamSpeak and also streaming no one had a issue with hearing me talk. Overall the Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Headset was a great product to use and test. I use it almost daily while I am walking around my neighborhood with my cell phone and when you get home all you have to do is unplug the adapter and plug right into your PC or PS4 and start to game.

Overall Thinkcomputers gives the Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset a 10 out of 10 score. Currently you can find the Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset for around $99 at most online retailers.
