The Lamptron SM436 is made up of a few different parts. First there is the controller or brains of the operation.

The controller sort of has a rectangle shape and is loaded with connections. There a four 4-pin fan headers, four 4-pin standard RGB headers, four 3-pin addressable RGB headers, SATA and Molex connectors for power, as well as 3-pin and 4-pin PC sync headers.

So for the fans you have a total of 4 fan channels with 36 W per channel. For RGB, the 4-pin headers support up to 60 RGB LEDs (12VGRB), and the 3-pin headers support up to 60 ARGB LEDs (5VDG). The next piece of the kit is the actual display, which is meant to be installed in three empty PCI-slots in your case. It is pretty heavy duty and the outer cases is made of brushed aluminum. We received the black version, but there is also a silver version available.

The last piece of the puzzle is the remote, which does not come with batteries. This remove will allow you to control the fans you connect to the controller, but since we have the SYNC edition of the SM436 there is no RGB control.
