Media Workstations launches AMD Threadripper powered a-XP portable workstation

There are desktops, and there are laptops, and then there is this new machine. Media Workstations, a company that makes a diverse range of workstation PCs, has now released a portable workstation, called a-XP.

The highlight of this workstation is that it is powered by the beast that is AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 3990X. It looks like a cross-breed between a desktop and a laptop, and if you were to think of it, you could see it as one of the most powerful laptops out there. Take a look:

Speaking of other specifications, it comes with up to 256 GB of DDR4 2933 MHz RAMvia 8 DIMMs, and options to configure with two SSDs and an HDD. You get the choice of GPUs too, with the whole range of NVIDIA GeForce RTX and Quadro RTX to Tesla GPUs, including a dual-GPU setup.
