Microsoft Surface Studio Models All Sold Out – Even the $4200 Model!

Last week Microsoft announced their Surface Stuido AIO PC aimed at creators and designers. It looks like the hype is real and designers are quite excited for the system as it has sold out! And it is not just the base models, the most expensive $4200 model has also been sold out!

Microsoft Surface Studio

This new AIO is not cheap by any means, the base model which is $2999 comes with an Intel Skylake i5, GTX 965 M, 8 GB DDR4 and 1 TB storage. The highest spec’d out model will got for $4199 and is packed with an Intel Skylake i7, a GTX 980 M, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and 2 TB storage. Both of these models are completely sold out! Now there is no word on how many units Microsoft initially on hand, but they went fast!

the real selling point to the Surface Studio is the display, which Microsoft is calling the “Pixel Sense Display”. The display features a 4500×3000 resolution (with around 62% more pixels than 4K resolution, combining to provide about 192 pixels per inch), as well as 10-point touch and Microsoft Pen support. The display support both DCI-P3 and sRGB with a simple toggle on the Windows sidebar to switch between the two. The closest thing to this display itself is Wacom’s Cintiq 27QHD 27-inch Touch Display, which by itself sells for $2799!
