New Pascal-Powered NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pictured

Pictures of NVIDIA’s new Pascal-powered SHIELD TV have been posted online. This new SHIELD TV will of course replace the existing SHIELD TV. As far as looks go the new SHIELD TV looks pretty much just like the old one, except for the controller. The new controller is smaller and features a polygonal-design.

The previous SHIELD TV was powered by the Maxwell Tegra X1 and this new one will more than likely be a Tegra based on Parker design. So it will have a Pascal GPU and Denver 2 cores. This means it will have 256 CUDA cores, just like the Tegra X1, but it will be more efficient thanks to the 16nm FF process.

NVIDIA is expected to announce the new SHIELD at CES 2017 in January.
