NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Overclocked To 3 GHz with LN2

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is turning out to be a very overclockable graphics card, pushing the limits of what’s possible. We’ve already seen a clock speed of 2.5 GHz with the card, but EVGA’s in-house overclocker KINGPIN has pushed the card even further to 3.0 GHz under LN2 cooling.

This impressive overclock was done on the Founder’s Edition of the card using LN2 cooling. KINGPIN also did some custom modding on the PCB to bypass the voltage locks. With his modifications he was able to get the card running at 3024 MHz, or 3.024 GHz! Running at such a high speed the card achieved a rated pixel fillrate throughput of 229.3 GPixel/s and Texture fillrate throughput 583.7 GTexel/s.

The 3024 MHz now stands as the GPU frequency record as it was previously held by the GTX 1060 HOF at 3012 MHz. Expect more impressive overclocks with this card in the future!
