Some of the first picture of the “TU104” that will power NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2080 have been leaked to the web. Taking a look at it the package itself it not bigger than its predecessors, like the GP104 and GM204, but the die itself is huge!
The variant of the card is powered by a combination of 8 and 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors conditioning an 8+2 phase VRM. Surrounding the TU104 are eight GDDR6 memory chips. Outputs include three DisplayPort, one HDMI, and one USB Type-C (VirtuaLink).
