ORICO Portable M.2 Enclosure Overview
The ORICO portable M.2 enclosure is a pretty small device, its official dimensions are 106.5mm(L)*29mm(W)*11.5mm(H). It has what I like to call the candy bar shape, which is a long rectangle. It is definitely small enough to easily fit in your pocket.
The enclosure is made of all aluminum and has a dark silver design. There is a single ORICO logo on the side. The top of the enclosure is designed as a heatsink, which will help keep your installed drive nice and cool.
On the bottom of the enclosure there is some information on the drive itself and a hex bolt. Using the included screwdriver you can remove this to access the inside of the enclosure.
There is a single connection on the end of the enclosure, which is a USB 3.2 gen 2 Type-C connection. This connection will not only provide data transfer, but it will power the drive as well.
Getting inside the enclosure is extremely easy. Remove the hex bolt using the included screw driver and slide the back of the enclosure off. Inside you will find a small PCB that houses an M.2 slot. The enclosure supports 80mm PCIe or SATA-based M.2 drives.
