AMD has definitely made a splash with their Ryzen processors. In our testing they proved to be a great alternative to Intel processors as well as being quite affordable. Even so Intel still remains to be the most popular choice among Steam users.
Steam’s monthly hardware and software survey shows that over 80% of users have an Intel processor. With Windows users with Intel processors making up 82.63% compared to only 17.34% on AMD processors. On the Linux side of things 78.53% of users are using Intel processors while 21.47% are using AMD processors.
