Patriot Unveils New Ignite Solid State Drives

Patriot was showing a wide variety of new products at CES this year. The one product that really caught our eye was the new Ignite solid state drive lineup. These new drives are definitely targeted at the enthusiast and gamer.

The Ignite Solid State drive series is based on the Phison S10 controller and will offer sequential read and write speeds of 560 MB/s and 545 MB/s respectively. The drives are in the typical 2.5-inch form factor and have a SATA 6Gbps interface. Patriot will be offering the Ignite in 480 GB and 960 GB capacities so this will be the largest capacity drive to date for Patriot. Expect the Ignite SSD lineup to launch this month and expected MSRPs for the drives are $214.99 for the 480 GB version and $404.49 for the 960 GB version.

About 10 years of computer experience. Been messing around with electronics since I was 5, got into computers when I was in highschool, been modding them ever since then. Very interested in how things work and their design.
