Patriot Viper Xtreme DDR3-2000 6GB Triple Channel Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts
So what can we take out of this memory review?  Well first let’s talk about the quality and design of the Viper Xtreme modules.  This modules look awesome!  The black heatspreaders with the black PCB really goes well together.  Also the copper core behind that heatspreader will help keep the modules cool.  Remember each module has 6 grams of copper!  Also keep in mind these modules carry a lifetime warranty, so you know Patriot stands behind their products.

The modules are really easy to get up to the 2000MHz speed, the XMP profile really helps out with that and makes things simple.  There are not many stock modules available that run at a higher speed than 2000Mhz.  We were able to get the modules up to 2086MHz without loosening up the timings.  I would have liked to at least get up to 2100MHz, but I was not able to.  Since this is not a low voltage kit we were not able to bump the voltage up that much to get as much as we could out of this kit.

This kit sells for $149 at my favorite online retailer, which is a great price for a good performing kit.  Overall ThinkComputers gives the Patriot Viper Xtreme DDR3-2000 6GB Triple Channel Memory Kit a 9 out of 10 score.
