Ryzen Quad-Core Processors Will Not Pass 3.2 GHz?

In a tweet over the weekend French Canard PC stated that the first Ryzen Quad Core processors would not exceed 3.2 GHz and will get a lower clock frequency than expected. While you might want to take this with a grain of salt Canard PC has been pretty reliable with leaks in the past.

Ryzen 5 is expected to be released in Q2. What we do know is that these processors will have four cores. There is some speculation that they might be 8-core models, with 4 cores disabled, but based on the architecture that is highly unlikely.

Following Ryzen 5 will be Ryzen 3, which will launch in the second half of the year.
