Since announcing their UHD line up of 4K tv’s last year, Samsung has had the world waiting to see something solid to come the market both on the hardware and content side. This year at CES we have what we’ve been waiting for, S-UHD. Super Ultra High Definition is the future of cinema realistic displays.
The 105″ bendable screen shown above is one of many in their new line of S-UHD screens. These displays feature a greater range of richer colors thanks to their ability to play HDR (high dynamic range) content. Quantum Dot technology generates the colors and is supported with an 8 core processor to create bright rich content on the native 4K panels.
There are nine screen sizes equipped with this technology. While early predictions say the panels should be a hit, it could be some time before we see this type of technology filter down to the average consumer price range.
