Start Making Better Videos

These days, it seems like everyone is trying to make it selling videos. With the many who have started gaining their entire income off YouTube (sometimes in the millions) it’s no wonder that more people are trying. The idea of creating a video, a work of art really: your art, appeals to you. You wouldn’t mind having more time to do other things. You wouldn’t mind never having to sit at a desk job again. You wouldn’t mind being creative for a living.

In order to succeed, you have to stand out. That much you know, but head knowledge isn’t the same as making it happen. People are most likely to watch videos that are entertaining and well made. Shaky cam won’t get you far, and lack of interest will not-get-you even further. If you’re looking to make it on YouTube, you especially want your videos to be attractive, so more people will follow you. If they trust that you’ll deliver quality, they’ll sign up. Your job is to convince them of that.

When following a channel on youtube, people are more likely to follow someone with regular content, so you can put that on your checklist. They’re also more likely to follow something that lifts their mood or makes them laugh. People, for the most part, go on YouTube to laugh or have a question answered. If you want to start a chain of tutorial videos, that’s a great way to bring in views. If tutorials aren’t your thing, then focus on finding your niche of entertainment. You can’t be America’s Funniest Home Videos each week, so try to create ways in which you can be entertaining, week after week. If you’re confident that you can deliver, then you will. That regularity will be a huge part of your success.

That still doesn’t answer the question of quality. How do you go about making better videos, videos that stand out? The answer is practice. In order to do anything well, you need some kind of education. No one walks up to home plate for the first time and swings perfectly, knocking the ball out of the park. They practice and practice and practice until they achieve that level. You’ll make fine videos to start, and you’ll keep an eye on yourself. You’ll make sure you’re improving every week, until each video you’re producing is great. It won’t hurt to study the masters, either: browsing best video designs and gaining tips from how they’re done.

No one wakes up one morning a success, which is why you know you’ll have to invest time and passion towards creating incredible videos. With all your power being channeled into one place, it won’t be long before you’re one of the best.
