Our pre-CES Podcast! The week we talk about our reviews of some GeIL RGB memory, the NZXT H700i, the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities, and what we expect heading into CES 2018!
- Computex 2018
Earlier this year we took a look at GeIL's Super Luce DDR4 memory. This memory turned out to be really good and we even rewarded it with our Recommended Award. The original Super Luce memory had a single-color light bar at the top. Well we know RGB is all the rage now, so GeIL has released their Super Luce RGB SYNC DDR4 memory. This new memory has an RGB light bar at the top and is compatible with ASUS's AURA Sync, so you can easily control it with ASUS's software. Today we will be checking out the GALS432GB3000C16AQC kit which is a 32GB kit running at 3000 MHz with timings of 22.214.171.124 at 1.35V. This kit is also part of the GeIL's AMD Edition, so these are specifically designed for Ryzen builds. Let's take a look and see what they are about!
GeIL - Golden Emperor International Ltd. - one of the world's leading PC components & peripheral manufacturers announced EVO X ROG-certified RGB Gaming Memory.
In this episode of our weekly tech podcast we talk about our reviews of the AORUS X299 Gaming 9 Motherboard and GeIL EVO-X DDR4 memory, if ASUS will be bringing out a dual Vega GPU, more ThreadRipper information, Intel Coffee Lake leaks, Corsair's summer sale and more!
As we've said before 2017 seems to be the year of RGB, almost all parts of our PC's now come with RGB options. One of the first company's to come out with RGB memory was GeIL. Their EVO X DDR4 kits really pushed the envelope and many other memory makers followed suit. While this kits are a little older they are still a great choice when adding RGB lighting to the inside of your case and their performance is quite good as well. Today we will be checking out the GEX416GB3200C16DC kit which is a 16GB (2x8GB) kit operating at 3200 MHz with timings of 16-16-16-36 at 1.35V. Let's take a look at this kit and see if it adds the extra bling to our system that we were looking for!
GeIL has quite a few different lines of DDR4 memory. We've already taken a look at their Super LUCE memory and now its time to take a look at the EVO Forza memory. EVO Forza is part of their gaming series memory so it is targeted at gamers and enthusiasts. The kit we are taking a look at today is their GFY432GB2400C16QC which is a 32GB kit that runs at 2400 MHz with timings of 16-16-16-36 at 1.2V. This is marketed as a quad-channel kit, but it can easily be used as a dual-channel kit on Intel Z170 and Z270 platforms as well. Let's get this kit in a test system and see what it can do!
There are quite a lot of different choices when it comes to choosing DDR4 memory for your next build. It has been a while since we've taken a look at memory from GeIL. They have actually sent us their entire DDR4 lineup, so today we will be starting with their Super Luce DDR4-3000 16GB Memory Kit. This high performance memory kit runs at 300 MHz with timings of 15-17-17-35 at 1.35V. We received the version of memory that has the frost white heatspreader with blue light bar. The light bar features GeIL's own patented iLUCE Thermal-beaming Technology, which will pulse the light bar based on the temperature of the memory. Let's take a look and see what this memory can do!
Hardcore overclockers do things quite different than normal consumers. When it comes to overclocking memory most hardcore overclocking will remove the stock heatspreaders that come with memory. Sometimes when you do that you'll accidentally pull off an IC. GeIL wants to make the process much easier with their new Dragon Series DDR4 memory.
GeIL, a leading global manufacturer of PC components and peripherals, presents the all new DDR4 EVO X Hardcore Gaming Memory with GeIL's latest innovation of HILM - Hybrid-Independent-Light-Module enabling dynamic RGB LED illumination. The EVO X Seires not only excels from the Super Luce Series asthetically, the technological breakthrough in high performance memory illumination transcends even further.
