Tt eSPORTS MEKA G-Unit Illuminated Keyboard Review

Conclusion
So I have been using the Tt eSPORTS MEKA G-Unit Illuminated over the past week and will have to say it is one nice keyboard. One of the nice things was that I was able to test out the MEKA G-Unit over the the Titanfall Beta Weekend they had. Which was a good way to put the keyboard to test. I have also been using the MEKA G-Unit in the office so I have been doing a good chunk of typing and web surfing. I will have to say that when using the MEKA G-Unit for long periods of time and gaming, that it has been very comfortable. There have been a few things that I had to get used to like a slightly different layout from most keyboards. One of the other really nice things is the media keys. I really like that they didn’t make them buttons but actual mechanical keys. Another one of my favorite things about this keyboard is that there is no hard corners. They decided to make the corners of the MEKA G-Unit different than the standard rectangle keyboards.

Lets get down to the fun part of this keyboard, all the gaming related stuff. The Tt eSPORTS software is pretty nice in letting you set up your macros. I have set up some macros for a few of the MMO’s that I have been Beta testing over the past week. I have never been a really big macro person at all but the Tt eSPORTS software was pretty nice and easy for setting up different types of macros. I have even set up some macros to help me with my day to day tasks and other programs. Getting used to the Shift key system was a little different at first but after you use some of the settings and get used to how it works you will find different uses for it. The time I spent playing FPS games and most importantly the Beta for Titanfall I felt comfortable with no hand cramping and pain in the wrists. The Black switches were being very responsive and were allowing me to keep my same playstyle as I have in the past with different keyboards. While playing basically any game with the MEKA G-Unit I was impressed. I never had a hiccup or an issue with anything. One of the other things I did had to get used to was that while typing around the Enter Key it is a little different than most keyboards.

Overall this keyboard has performed great with everything I’ve used and tossed at it. This will currently be staying on my desk for awhile with my Tt eSPORTS Theron Infrared from a few reviews ago. Thermaltake has really stepped up with their Tt eSPORTS line. Cant wait to see more from them in the near future.
