WD Releases New Portfolio of WD_Black Hard Drives

Today Western Digital has introduced a brand new portfolio of external storage solutions specifically targeted towards gamers. The new WD_Black line of external hard drives is made up of five drives which include the P50, two variants of the P10, as well as two variants of the D10.

Starting off with the P50, which is the first external drive to have a USB 3.2 gen 2×2 port allowing for 2,000MB/s read speeds. It will be available in capacities up to 2TB and will come with a 5-year warranty.

Next up is the P10, which will be available in capacities up to 5TB. It comes in a portable form factor and connects via a USB 3.2 gen 1 connection. It comes with a 3-year warranty. This drive is actually already available to buy, with the 2TB costing $89.99 and 5TB being $149.99. There will also be an Xbox One version of the drive coming soon, it is priced at $109.99 for 3TB and $149.99 for 5TB. It also comes with a a two-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. Both drives come with a 3-year warranty.

Finally we have the D10, which is powered by a 7200 RPM hard drive with active cooling. This is more of your typically larger external drive. The normal version will be available up to 8TB ($199.99), while the Xbox One version bumps the storage up to 12TB ($299.95) and comes with a three-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. Both drives will also come with a 3-year warranty.
