Reddit user mikejc has shared the 3D model files for a simple tool that will safely bend the 16-pin ATX 12VHPWR connector to a 90° angle for cable-management. This tool basically acts as a cable guide for the high-gauge cables of the connector allowing them to bend further away from the connector itself. With this simple implementation it can reduce the stress on the contacts of the 12VHPWR connector.
This tool seems to be based on the advice from the CableMod guide, which does warn against exaggerated bends. With all of the reports of 12VHPWR power connectors catching fire or melting this simple tool should help with that. Even better if you have a 3D printer you can make your own.
