In January, Acer attracted attention with the introduction of three fresh graphics card variants: the RX 7800 XT Predator, RX 7700 XT Nitro, and RX 7600 XT Nitro. Despite high consumer anticipation, these cards have yet to surface in retail outlets, leaving enthusiasts disappointed.
Indications suggest Acer might be gearing up for the imminent release of these cards. Updates to the company’s website now feature the RX 7800 XT model, alongside a new addition: the RX 7900 GRE card.
The most recent update unveils two variants: the Radeon RX 7900 GRE Predator and Nitro. Remarkably, the GRE models mirror the RX 7800 XT cards, with Acer even employing identical images. Both SKUs exhibit similar power demands, indicating compatibility with the same cooling architecture. Furthermore, the Navi 31XL and Navi 32XT chips boast comparable package dimensions, suggesting their PCBs are highly likely to be alike or even identical, given the utilization of 16GB VRAM on both models.
The RX 7900 GRE NITRO utilizes a dual fan cooling system named Nitro FrostBlade. Both the Predator and NITRO variants come with identical factory overclocking, boasting a game clock of 2050 MHz and a boost clock of 2395 MHz, representing a 9% and 7% overclock, respectively.
While the website lacks comprehensive power specifications, an estimated power requirement of around 260W can be inferred, aligning with AMD’s reference specifications. The card is powered by dual 8-pin power connectors.
Unfortunately, both the Predator and Nitro models are not currently available for purchase. As of now, among all the Radeon GPUs Acer introduced, only the RX 7600 Predator cards are being retailed by the company.
