ADATA SU750 1TB Solid State Drive Review

ADATA SU750 Overview

The ADATA SU750 is your standard 2.5-inch solid state drive and being that this is from the main ADATA line, not their XPG gaming line the drive just has a simple sticker on the top that has the ADATA logo and lets us know that the drive is indeed the SU750.

Flipping the drive over to the back you have your typical sticker with all of your standard information on the drive. The drive itself is made mostly of metal and plastic and since there are not moving parts you have shock resistance, which is great if you ever have happened to drop your case.

The drive itself is 7mm thick, which is standard these days. This means you could easily throw this drive in a laptop as well. You have your standard SATA data and power connections at the end of the drive.

Now we will be opening the drive up, but please don’t do this as it will void your warranty. Inside you will find a very small PCB that houses the NAND and controller. ADATA is making use of the Realtek RTS5733DMQ controller and there are four ADATA-branded 3D TLC NAND chips (2 on each side). You may notice that we do not have a DRAM cache chip. The main reason for this is that TLC memory allows for SLC caching.
