ADATA offers a wide variety of solid state drives from consumer drives to enterprise and server drives. ADATA’s last XPG drive was introduced in 2012, so the line was definitely in need of a refresh. The XPG line is targeted towards gamers and enthusiasts. The new XPG SX930 features the newer JMicron JMF670H controller matched with synchronous MLC NAND. The 240GB version that we are reviewing today features sequential read and write speeds of 560 MB/s and 460 MB/s respectively. ADATA is backing this drive with a 5-year warranty and has changed the design a little to attract more gamers. Let’s take a look at this drive and see what it is all about!
Special thanks to ADATA for providing us with the XPG SX930 240GB Solid State Drive to review.
The ADATA XPG SX930 comes in a typical retail box for a solid state drive, which is not much larger than the drive itself. The front is open so you can get a good look at the drive. There is also a list of features on the front.
Moving around back there is more information on the drive in quite a few different languages.
Opening the box up inside you will find the XPG SX930 solid state drive, 3.5-inch to 2.5-inch adapter, 7mm to 9.5mm spacer, mounting screws, and a quick start guide.
