AMD B650E “Extreme” Chipset Has Been Confirmed

AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series processor launch is right around the corner. With this we have the new AM5 platform which will enable new technologies and protocols. You are going to get both DDR5 memory support and PCI-Express 5.0. When AMD first announced the AM5 platform they announced X670E, X670, and B650 chipsets, but it looks like there is going to be a B650E “Extreme” chipset as well.

The regular X670 and B650 chipset will support either a PCIe 5.0 GPU or a PCIe 5.0 M.2 NVIMe SSD. Now with X670E and B650E users will get both PCIe 5.0 connectivity for their GPU and M.2 NVIMe SSD.
