An internal Intel document that details the “go to market” (GTM) plan for its 13th Gen Core “Raptor Lake” desktop processors has been leaked to the web. According to this document Intel is likely to hold a launch event for the 13th Gen Core “Raptor Lake” processors on September 27, 2022 (when it’s September 28 in Taiwan). This is of course the same day AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processors will go on sale.
Pre-orders for “Raptor Lake” processors will go on sale October 13, 2022 (or October 14 in Taiwan). This is for online orders only. October 20th is when the processors will be available on-shelf in retail shops (October 21 in Taiwan).
This document does not list anything about review NDAs, but we can expect these to go live anywhere between September 27th and October 13th.
Intel’s upcoming 13th generation Core “Raptor Lake” will be built on the same LGA1700 package as the 12th gen and will be compatible with Intel 600 series chipset motherboards with a BIOS update. These chips will also launch alongside new Intel 700-series chipset motherboards.
