AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT Is Limited To The PCIe 4.0 x4 Interface

The recently announced Radeon RX 6500 XT seems as it will only have a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface. This has been confirmed on the ASRock website. This is basically like having a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 link or a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 connection and is definitely a step down from the Radeon RX 6600 XT which has a PCI-Express 4.0 x8 interface and the Radeon RX 6700 XT at has the full PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interface.

It is interesting that ASRock is the only one that is listing that the card actually has a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface. Gigabyte, ASUS, MSI, and even AMD do not have it mentioned on their product pages.
