AMD will be launching their next-generation RDNA 3 graphics card lineup on November 3rd, which is in a couple of weeks. Their high-end graphics card, which was launched a year ago, the Radeon RX 6900 XT has dropped in price to below $700 ahead of the November 3rd launch.
This price cut actually isn’t from AMD, but is rather a retailer-specific price-cut. We saw this for NVIDIA’s high-end SKUs from the RTX 30 series ahead of the RTX 40 series launch and now we are seeing the same thing from AMD. You can see how prices have gone down from the two graphs below, some cards are over $1000 cheaper than they were in January of this year!
Right now XFX has two Radeon RX 6900 XT models that are below $700! The first is the Radeon RX 6900 XT Speedster SWFT319 which is going for $649.99 and then there is the Radeon RX 6900 XT Speedster MERC319 which is $699.99.
If we go over to Newegg we can find the ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT PHANTOM GAMING D for only $669.99!
Prices are also dropping in Europe with the lowest available price for a Radeon RX 6900 XT being 736 EUR, which is around 250 EUR cheaper than it was in early September and over 1000 EUR less than it was in January.
