Two photos of AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX next-gen Rembrandt 6nm APU-powered laptop have been leaked. One of the photos shows a motherboard from Alienware m17 R5 gaming laptop featuring AMD Ryzen 6000 series APU.
Expectedly, this laptop will be the fastest one under the AMD Advantage program. It uses an F7 package with a size(25×35 mm) exactly the same as that of FP6. The estimated(as measured from the photo) size of the APU is 206mm², very close to the expected size declared by Patrick Schur, the die size of the APU should be 208 mm².
ExecutableFix has just published the block diagram of AMD Rembrandt which confirms that the APU offers up to 8 cores and 16 threads. The APU will have a DDR5 memory along with a PCIe Gen4 interface. When it comes to integrated GPU, there are 6 Navi graphics architecture (RDNA2) based workgroup Processors.
The names of the upcoming processors were also revealed with the pictures. Forthcoming Alienware laptop will feature up to Ryzen 9 6980HX 8-core and 16-thread CPU at 5.0 GHz. Furthermore, it will feature up to the Radeon RX 6850M XT GPU having 12GB GDDR6 memory.
We have not yet received any information regarding other Radeon 6000 SKUs having 6nm process technology.
