AMD has always done something cool with their packaging of their Ryzen Threadripper HEDT processors. It looks like for the 3rd generation or 3000 series that will continue as the packaging for the processors has been leaked. We are unsure if this is the packaging for a “Special Edition” or “Collectors Edition” or it is just the normal retail packaging.
Whatever the case might be it does look like AMD once again is going to make these processors stand out on retail shelves and will make the unboxing experience for all those who decide to pick these up pretty special.
AMD is expected to announce the Ryzen Threadripper 3000 series CPUs tomorrow! This is what you should be expecting from the announcement:

– AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X – 32C/64T
– AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3980X – 48C/96T
