Performance Testing
For testing we will be using the MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro 15.6-inch laptop. This laptop actually has a GTX 1060 inside, but we will be disabling it for our testing. The ideal situation for the GTX 1080 Gaming Box is more of an ultrabook that does not have any discrete graphics.
So with the GTX 1060 disabled we have the Intel HD Graphics 630. With the GTX 1080 Box connected we can open up GPU-Z to check our clocks.
So we will be directly comparing the Intel HD Graphics 630 to the GTX 1080 Gaming Box. First we have 3DMark, we will be running the Time Spy, Fire Strike Ultra, Fire Strike Extreme, and Fire Strike Benchmarks.
Next up we will be benchmarking 4 different games which include Ashes of the Singularity, Batman Arkham Origins, GTA V, and DOOM. All of these games were tested at 1080p resolution with relativity high settings.
