Final Thoughts
To say the ROG Ryujin III is an impressive cooler, would be an understatement. This thing came close to topping our cooler performance charts in both idle and load settings, and if you don’t care about noise levels, cranking it up to Full Speed all around should keep the hottest chips cool without issue. The thicker 30mm radiator’s additional cooling surface area is surely one of the main reasons for this great performance, but the upgrade to the 8th generation Asetek pump and larger 7mm tubes also help improve liquid flow through the loop. Additionally, the three MF-12S fans and their high static pressure rating pair nicely with the thicker radiator to make sure there is good movement of air through the dense 20 fins-per-inch layout. And don’t forget about that awesome VRM fan in the pump housing, keeping your surrounding power delivery components cool and ready for some overclocking.
Outside of great performance, the ROG Ryujin III has amazing looks. Our White Edition review sample really helps the ARGB LEDs of the fans show off their colors, while the 3.5″ color LCD mounted on the pump housing is there to display just about anything you can come up with, from your favorite GIFs to critical system monitoring information. The subtle ROG imagery on the molded fan vents are exactly what you can expect from ASUS ROG products, as are the design elements found on the rest of the pump housing, radiator, and even the fans.
With so many great features and upgrades compared to many of the other AIOs we have reviewed, the ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB White Edition is not your entry level cooler, but one that brings great performance, as well as looks. Each one of the improved features found on this cooler show ASUS’ dedication to being at the front of the pack in every product line they venture into, and that doesn’t come without a price premium.
