Pure Power L8 600W Overview
Taking a closer look at the Pure Power L8 we can see that it has a pretty basic design to it. Since this is a mainstream power supply we were really not expecting much in the way of design. The unit is the typical ATX power supply size and the official dimensions are 150 x 150 x 86 mm (LxWxH). This means it will fit just great in any ATX case and smaller cases that support ATX power supplies.
There is an embossed be quiet! logo on one side of the unit. On the opposite side there is a sticker that has your input and output values as well as some other information.
Strangely enough the top of the unit is completely plain. The bottom on the other hand houses be quiet’s own 120 mm SilentWings cooling fan. These fans are made to be extremely quiet and are featured on many of be quiet’s other power supplies and products. The back of the unit has a honeycomb design to help with airflow. Also on the back of the unit you have your power connection and power button.
The front of the unit houses all of your cables and like most mainstream unit the cables are connected to the unit, they are not modular. The cables on the Pure Power L8 are sleeved all the way in to the unit and there is a plastic piece around the opening protecting the cables. Included with the 600W unit you have your 24pin ATX power connection, 8pin CPU power connection, 4x 6+2pin PCI-Express power connections, 5x SATA power connections, 3x Molex connections and a single floppy power connection.
