Overview & Installation
The Benq Screenbar e-Reading Lamp is basically a light bar that is made up of dual color LEDs. The construction is actually quite good, being made of aluminum alloy. It does not feel cheap, but rather a quality product. The Screenbar is 45 cm long and when installed should illuminate an area 74 cm in length.

At the top of the Screenbar in the center you are going to find the controls. On the left side you have a manual dimmer button as well as a hue adjustment button. You can adjust the brightness of the light up and down and adjust the color temperature from 2700K to 6500K. Benq tells us the light has an illuminance‎ of 800 Lux in the center. On the opposite side you’ll find an auto dimmer button and power button. The auto dimmer uses a sensor that detects the surrounding brightness and selects just the right light.

To get the Screenbar e-Reading Lamp installed on your monitor is quite simple. First you will want to install the clip counter-weight. It is actually quite heavy, which means it will hold up the lamp no problem and you won’t have to worry about it moving around if you bump your desk or monitor.

With the counter-weight installed simply place the Screenbar on top of your monitor. Try and place it as close to center as your can, you can adjust the counter-weight for the best fit. Once you have the Screenbar where you want it on your monitor, simply connect the USB cable to either your PC or USB power outlet. The cable is long enough to reach most towers, even if they are sitting on the ground.
