BIOSTAR revealed the entire AMD Ryzen 4000G series APU lineups under the B550GTQ motherboard’s CPU support list. It clearly indicated the Ryzen 4th gen APU compatibility with B550 motherboards. This strongly indicated the Renoir based Zen 2 APUs with Vega on-chip graphics to be available soon. Earlier, BIOSTAR also confirmed through a different B550 motherboard listing that these APUs will not have PCIe 4.0 bandwidth. Thanks to an eagle-eyed observer, we know which SKUs will be available.

|Ryzen 7||4700G||100-000000146||3.60 GHz||65W|
The max spec of the Ryzen 7 4700G is from different sources. We know its an eight core-sixteen thread processor with VEGA 8 graphics. As this indicates, it has a 65W TDP with base/boost clock of 3.6 GHz/ 4.4 GHz.
What’s also interesting is the listing of the Pro and low-powered GE units. All the APUs have a TDP rating of either 65w or 35w depending on the SKU. The standard G and the Pro variants have the higher TDP rating, likely to have a higher core/ thread count than the GE variants.
AMD’s prep with low-spec A520 motherboards
AMD is also said to work on the A520 chipsets. As per the earlier information leaks, ASUS has gaming sub-branding on those motherboards, too (except ROG). Naturally, this would mean other motherboard makers would follow suit.
We’ll just have to wait and watch when will the Ryzen 4000 series APU will be available in the market.
Judging by the Ryzen 4000G SKU listing, I speculate there’s a very good chance of these to be available in the market with the AMD 550 motherboards. But time will tell.
