Colorful has just announced a cooler-less version of their RTX 2080 iGame Vulcan Advanced graphics card. Basically they have just removed the triple-fan cooling solution that usually ships with the card. Why would they do this? Simple, to reduce costs to the point that it is cheaper to buy this card and an aftermarket watercooling solution and install it yourself rather than buy a pre-built full-cover waterblock card.
This is actually very typical for internet cafes, as they water-cool most of their systems (it limits the heat in the room). The card is using NVIDIA’s reference PCB so finding an appropriate waterblock should not be a problem.
