Coloful has launched their flagship GeForce GTX 980 iGame graphics card. This card come with one of the best cooling solutions and most muscular VRM solutions we have seen on a GeForce GTX 980.
The GeForce GTX 980 iGame of course comes with a custom PCB and features pure silver traces, a 14-phase VRM, server-grade tantalum capacitors, DPAK MOSFETs, and high-current solid chokes. The card draws power from dual 8pin PCI-Express connectors.
The card comes with a dual-BIOS. The first BIOS runs the card at 1127 MHz core, 1216 MHz GPU Boost, and 7.0 GHz (effective) memory. The second BIOS clocks the card up to 1178 MHz core, 1279 MHz GPU Boost, and 7.01 MHz (effective) memory. You can toggle between the two BIOS’s with a toggle switch.
The cooling solution on the card is made up of a massive triple-slot compound aluminum fin-stack heatsink and three 100 mm fans. Display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.2 ports, one HDMI and one dual-link DVI. There is a solid metal back-plate with a dotted mesh pattern on the back of the card.
Colorful also plans to released an even more over-the-top version of this card based on the same PCB called the GTX 980 iGame Kudan later this month and a GTX 970 iGame as well.
