Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P MAX Overview

Taking a first look at the MasterBox NR200P MAX it is a pretty small case. As I mentioned it is only 18.3L in volume, but the official dimensions are 377 x 185 x 292mm (incl. Protrusions), 361 x 185 x 274mm (excl. Protrusions). One thing I did notice about this case is that it just feels of much higher quality that many other cases I’ve taken a look at lately.

The case has a dark grey color, which really looks good in person. The front of the case is actually steel and all you’ll find on it is a small Cooler Master hexagon logo towards the bottom. This part of the case actually easily comes off if you pull on it from the bottom. With it removed we can see that there are two 2.5-inch SSD mounting positions. There are also mounting holes for a pump here, but since this case comes with an AiO I don’t suspect you’ll be using these.

Moving up to the top of the case you’ll find your buttons and connections. There is a large power button, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and a combination audio jack.

The rest of the top of the case is a fine mesh and you’ll notice a solid strip which runs down the right side. With the top panel of the case removed we can see the pre-installed 280mm radiator. If you decide to change the case later on the top of the case supports two 120 / 140 mm fans.

Each side panel of the case is ventilated as well. Instead of the fine mesh you have large circle vents which should offer some good airflow. Behind the ventilation is a mesh.

Looking at the back of the case we have a typical mini-ITX motherboard mount, three expansion slots in a vertical orientation, and a power connection at the bottom.

On the bottom of the case you’ll find four simple feet that will lift the case off the ground. Almost the entire bottom of the case is ventilated with a magnetic filter. You’ll also notice four holes down here, these are for installing a 3.5-inch drive on the floor on the case.
