Cooler Master TD500 MAX Case Review

Cooler Master TD500 MAX Overview

The TD500 MAX comes in a grey colorway, which is exclusive to the MAX version of this case. The TD500 Mesh V2 came in both white and black colors. If you are wondering about size this is definitely a smaller mid tower with official dimensions of 499mm x 210mm x 500mm (LxWxH).

Starting at the front of the case we have a full mesh front panel. The mesh is black, which is a nice offset to the grey of the case. The mesh has a sort of polygonal design on it as well, which makes it stand out a bit more. Towards the bottom there is a small Cooler Master logo.

You can pull on the front panel of the case from the bottom and it will easily pop off. With it removed we can see the three pre-installed Mobius 120P ARGB fans. These are of course on our radiator, more on that once we get inside the case.

Reinstalling the front panel and moving up to the top we find our connections and buttons. From left to right we have two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a hard drive activity LED, large power button, combination 3.5mm jack, lighting button for the fans, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.

The top of the case is mostly ventilated with a removable magnetic filter. With it removed we have a cooling bracket that supports three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans as well as radiators up to 360 mm. This part of the case can be removed for easy installation of fans or radiators.

The main side panel of the case is a tempered glass panel that has grooves cut into it, which makes it stand out from standard panels. Cooler Master has put a small TD500 logo towards the top of the case.

The back of the case has your pretty standard layout with a fan mount towards the top, motherboard mount in the center, and your power supply mount at the bottom. There is a 120mm ARGB fan installed back here, although it is not a Mobius fan. We can also see that our 850W power supply is pre-installed. There is a filter for the power supply that pulls out from the back of the case.
