Corsair iCUE 465X RGB Case Overview
Taking a first look at the iCUE 465X we can see that it is much smaller than the 680X, it has official dimensions of 467mm x 216mm x 465mm. We received the white version of the case, but it is also available in black.
The first thing that really stands out about this case is the front tempered glass panel. It is made of 4mm-thick glass and extends the entire front of the case. The front part of the case is actually a single piece, so the tempered glass is fused to the front bezel. You just remove four screws and you can easily take it off. With the front panel removed we can see the three pre-installed LL120 RGB fans and the filter that sits in front of them. These three fans are the only fans included with the case.
One thing that I found a little weird about the filter is that it has these “X’s” on it, which make the front of the case just not as clean in my opinion. The good thing about the front of the case is that the glass panel sits about an inch and a half off the front bezel of the case. This allows some airflow to come into the case from the sides.
Moving up to the top of the case you have a few buttons and connections. There is a large power button, two USB 3.0 ports, a headphone / microphone combo port, and a small reset button.
The rest of the top of the case is made up of a large ventilated section, which comes with a magnetic filter installed. Removing the filter we can see that there is room for two 120 / 140 mm fans or radiators up to 240 mm.
The main side of the case is a large 4mm-thick tempered glass panel. This is going to allow you to show off all of your hardware in your build. The panel is held in place by four large thumbscrews. The opposite side panel is just plain white.
Moving around to the back of the case we have a pretty standard layout. There is room for a 120 mm exhaust fan, seven expansion slots, two vertical slots, and of course your power supply mount on the bottom of the case. There is a small filter than comes out from the back of the case as well.
